Youth School Shooting Awareness

At the conclusion of my fall semester, I encountered a unique and challenging opportunity to create fictitious advertisement prints aimed at raising awareness about the alarming reality of youth school shootings in the US. I developed a series of eight provocative print advertisements, which, in my opinion, seemed to be the most effective approach given the prevalence of school shootings in America and the lack of substantial regulations or preventative measures. Leveraging the capabilities of AI, I generated images featuring children wearing bulletproof vests to evoke a sense of disturbance and uneasiness in my audience, painting a vivid picture of a world where children must safeguard their learning environments. Additionally, I included statistics at the bottom of the prints sourced directly from the Sandy Hook Promise Organization to heighten the gravity of the message. The objective was not only to raise awareness but also to provoke thoughtful reflection among individuals who may not have previously considered the implications and consequences of these tragic events. Although creative advertising prints are not my specialty, I wanted to share this project with those who might find it interesting. It's important to note that, as these are AI-generated and not real, the faces of the students look distorted, presenting a barrier I could not overcome.
